Great Britain duo Charlotte Bankes and Zoe Atkin claim World Cup golds
There was also a gold for Briton Zoe Atkin in Colorado in the Aspen freeski halfpipe World Cup, where teenager Mia Brookes claimed bronze in snowboard slopestyle.
Following Bankes’ victory on Saturday, the 29-year-old went back-to-back with another superb display.
Having won both her quarter-final and semi-final, Bankes led out of the gate in the final and never gave up her position as she secured a 23rd World Cup win.
Australia’s Josie Baff finished second with Sina Siegenthaler of Switzerland in third.
Bankes has now made the podium in eight of her past 10 World Cup races, winning six of those.
In Aspen, Atkin, 22, led from her first run of the final, scoring 90.00 to hold off China’s Fanghui Li (88.50) and Canada’s Amy Fraser (86.75) and claim her second World Cup win and her second World Cup podium of the season after silver at Copper Mountain in December.
Brookes, meanwhile, recorded her sixth World Cup podium of the season with a third place in Aspen, behind winner Zoi Sadowski-Synott and Kokomo Murase.
It means the 18-year-old has 10 career World Cup podiums since taking her first in January 2023.
She will return to action for the World Cup big air, with qualifiers scheduled for 5 February in Aspen.
