Wales’ first-ever Women’s Euros game will be shown live on BBC television along with one of England’s Euro 2025 group games.

Last week’s draw placed defending champions England in the same group as Wales, with France and the Netherlands completing Group D for next summer’s tournament in Switzerland.

Wales have qualified for their first major tournament and their opener against the Netherlands on 5 July will be shown live on the BBC.

The BBC will also show England’s second group game – against 2017 winners the Netherlands – on 9 July.

England and Wales play each other in their final group game on 13 July, which will be shown on ITV.

England’s opener against France on 5 July will also be shown on ITV, as well as Wales’ game with France on 9 July.

ITV will broadcast the opening game between Iceland and Finland on 2 July, with BBC showing the hosts’ opener against two-time champions Norway later that day.

Eight-time winners Germany’s game with Denmark will be on the BBC on 8 July, while Italy’s clash with World Cup holders Spain on 11 July will also be on the BBC.

“The summer of 2025 is shaping up to be a huge celebration of women’s sport as we bring audiences the Women’s Euros, the Women’s Rugby World Cup and the World Athletics Championships,” said Alex Kay-Jelski, director of BBC Sport.

“We’ll have live coverage and expert analysis of the Euros as Wales make their debut and England try to retain the trophy.

“We’re excited to bring the people together for these huge sporting moments across online, TV, iPlayer, radio and BBC Sounds.”

Every match of the tournament, which begins on 2 July, will be shown in the UK on either the BBC or ITV.

BBC will broadcast three of the four quarter-finals and ITV will have first pick of the semi-finals. The final on 27 July will be available on both channels.

Alongside live TV coverage and highlights across the BBC and iPlayer, and live text commentary on the BBC Sport website, selected radio commentary will also be available on BBC Radio 5 Live and 5 Sports Extra.

Full details of those fixtures are yet to be confirmed.
