Trump says Musk and Ramaswamy will lead government efficiency group

President-elect Donald Trump said Tuesday that Elon Musk and outdated Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy will lead an efficiency community when his 2d time frame begins in January.
Trump wrote in a post that the Division of Authorities Efficiency, or DOGE, will “change into, doubtlessly, ‘The Long island Project’ of our time.” He also said the community would, “pave the manner” for his subsequent administration to “dismantle Authorities Paperwork, sever excess laws, cut wasteful expenditures, and restructure Federal Companies.”
Trump did no longer specify where cuts will dangle voice or when the division is probably going to be fashioned. Congress hasn’t created or funded such an office. He said the community’s “work will form no later than July 4, 2026.”
